Everything began with the Brazil - China Cultural Association. It was founded
by the Roman Catholic Priest João Manoel Lima Mira S.J., together with Master Moo Shong Woo.
Father Mira took the Association to Santa Catarina, to Italy and to Japan too.
The idea got spread through the world, and then appeared the "International
Institute of Being Tao", with the same purposes of the ACBC.
What does Being Tao means? The original expression comes from the
Chinese MING TAO. Ming means LIFE and Tao is the WAY. Being Tao,
it's English equivalent, means "Way of Life"
The International Institute of Being Tao, and together, the Brazil-China
Cultural Association and the other associations related to the IIBT, in Florianópolis,
San Marino and Rom in Italy, and in Tokyo at Japan, propagates a different
life style, based at the teachings of Taoism, a life style for those who
search always more interaction with the Nature, the mankind, at the first
place a better comprehension of himself. It teaches love with everyone
and everything, with God and his creation. Working for the well-being of the
mankind and for a conscious conservation of the Nature is a central point of
the ideals of the Being Tao.
In spite of being very ancient, it's an ideal and a need nowadays for our
world.
